Khushbu began her career as a child artist in the 1980s and quickly rose to fame as one of the top Kollywood actresses in South Indian cinema. In the 1990s, the actress reigned K-town and appeared in over 100 Tamil films.

Following her silver screen success, Khushbu focused on her career as a serial actress and producer in the TV industry. Additionally, she served as a judge on reality shows like Maanada Mayilada, Azhagiya Thamizh Magan, and Junior Super Stars. Kushboo married filmmaker Sundar C in 2000, and the couple has two children, Avanthika and Ananditha.

The actress recently shared a photo on Twitter of herself in a hospital with the caption, 'On the road to recovery..'
