It has been comedian Vivek's long time dream to act with Kamal Haasan. They came close to working together for Thenali but then Vivek opted out from the film citing lack of importance for his character.

The dream finally came close to materialising when Vivek was case in Shankar's Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan along with Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani, Bobby Simha and Siddarth.

However, it's said that Vivek is playing a major role similar to Nedumudi Venu who play the cop in the first installment. His character reportedly will appear throughout the film and the actor has shot for only 50% of his portion.

Following Vivek's unexpected death, Shankar has decided to replace him with a new actor since it's a major role. The director revealed his decision at a recent court hearing for the dispute with Lyca Productions.

It's sad to that we'll never get to see Kamal and Vivek acting together on-screen. We hope Shankar will find a way to release Vivek's portion as deleted scenes after completing the movie.
