KV Anand's sudden death at the age of 54 has shocked the K-town. Just two weeks after the death of legendary comedian Vivek, another devastating loss of a talented director has rendered many celebrities speechless.

According to India Today, the director died of a heart attack at 3 am today (30th April). He experienced chest pain and breathlessness during midnight and drove himself to a private hospital in Chennai. Unfortunately, the director cannot be saved.

His funeral was expected to be held at his residence today but his family was hit with another shocking news. KV Anand tested positive for Covid-19 and his mortal remains will not be returned to his family.

Instead, his body will be cremated at the Besant Nagar Crematorium in Chennai. His family is allowed to see him for a few minutes before the cremation. Watch it live here:


His wife and daughter were infected with the virus two weeks before the incident and went into quarantine.
