Director-turned-politician Seeman lost his father to old age at their their native Aranaiyur in Sivagangai, Madhurai. His father Senthamizhan was 90 years old.

Sources close to Seeman revealed that the politician rushed to his village after learning about father's death. The final rites and death procession are taking place at Aranaiyur today (14 May).
