Nayanthara is a leading heroine in the South Indian film industry. She has worked with the biggest stars in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

The actress is in a relationship with director Vignesh Shivan whom she met on the sets of 'Naanum Rowdy Thaan' a few years ago.

Nayanthara's father Kurian Kodiyattu, an ex-Indian Air Force official suffered a drawback in health last month. He was hospitalised at a private hospital in Kochi and when doctors were giving him intensive treatment, Nayantara was reportedly looking after him.

In a recent interview, Nayanthara opened up that her father has been ill for 12 to 13 years. The actress broke down as she spoke about her father's health and his life before falling sick.

Nayanthara also revealed that he's still in the hospital and the way her mother looks after him is 'humanly impossible. She wished she could turn back time if possible, for the sake of his health.
