Bigg Boss Sherin started her career with actor Dhanush in the coming-of-age film 'Thulluvadho Ilamai' directed by Selvaraghavan. While Dhanush went on to established himself as a leading star in Kollywood, Sherin didn't shine in films after that.

After a few hits and misses, she went off-grid for years. She made a comeback in Bigg Boss 3 as one of the contestants and is now trending for her mature approach towards conflicts and kind nature. In a recent episode, Sherin opened up about the struggles of her single mother:

"My best friend is actually my mother," Sherin revealed. Her father left them when she was barely 3 years old and never came back. Ever since then, her mother has raised her as a single parent.

"My mother went through many difficulties. When I was growing up, she worked in 2 to 3 jobs to raise me and to send me to school. But, as a child, I was very lonely. I didn't have many friends, didn't form a lot of friendships," Sherin said.

As she grew up, she shared her heartbreaks, happiness, and success to her mother. Her mother dedicated her entire life for Sherin.

As a child, Sherin was good at sketching and during her break from films, she started painting as a hobby.

Her lonely childhood has made her an introvert. In an interview in 2012, Sherin mentioned how pursuing a course in Art and Culture at Australia made her more open and friendly.

"I was an introvert and I kept to myself. But, after interacting with the friendly Australians, I have opened up to people and have become more open-minded and undiplomatic," she added.

Surely, there's more to Sherin than we get to see in Bigg Boss 3. Will the upcoming weeks allow us to get more glimpses into her mysterious life?
