K. Sivasankar, one of South India's prominent choreographers, has passed away at the age of 73. He was hospitalised in a critical condition at the AIG Hospital, Hyderabad earlier, and his lungs got severely infected after contracting Covid-19.

Meanwhile, master Sivasankar's wife Suganya and son Vijay also tested positive for the deadly virus and were seeking treatment at the same hospital.

The dance master has a successful career that spans four decades and is well-known for choreographing some of the iconic songs in the industry including 'Manmadha Raasa', starring Dhanush. He was conferred with the National Award in 2008 for the movie 'Magadheera', and popular for his role in Santhanam's hit comedy 'Kanna Laddu Thinne Aasaiya'.

The film industry has lost another irreplaceable talent. Our heartfelt condolences to Master Sivasankar's loved ones.
