Nayanthara is one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema and is celebrated as 'Lady Superstar of Kollywood'. Her upcoming film 'Mookuthi Amman' directed by -- is awaiting theatrical release. Fans are eager for the film because Nayanthara will be playing 'Amman' (Hindu Goddess) role for the first time.

Recently, it was rumored that Nayanthara was approached for the Telugu remake of a hit Bollywood film, Andhadhun.

In the film, actress Tabu played the antagonist whose role is equivalent to that of the male lead. Her character was having an extramarital affair and accidentally kills her husband with the secret lover.

It's believed that the makers in Telugu offered Nayanthara the role played by Tabu and a salary of up to Rs. 4 crore (RM2 million).

However, Nayanthara is said to have rejected the role despite the big money. Wonder why she didn't want to be part of the remake!
