Director Nelson Dilipkumar has been mocked online after the release of 'Beast' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde. After its theatrical premiere and subsequent OTT distribution, Nelson has been the subject of many memes and trolls on social media that have gone viral.

The filmmaker got support from celebs like RJ Balaji and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. But it was Nelson's tweet about Thalapathy Vijay that made some netizens apologise for trolling the director.

Despite facing a lot of hate for 'Beast,' Nelson took to Twitter yesterday to wish Thalapathy Vijay a happy 48th birthday. This gesture moved Vijay's fans, who said they were sorry in the comments.
