Popular filmmaker Atlee is all set to start the production of his next untitled movie, with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan in the lead role.

It is speculated that Shahrukh will be playing a dual role in the movie, an intelligent officer and as the antagonist who breaks the law, and the story will revolve around the conflict between both characters.

Following the speculation, netizens have taken social media to troll Atlee, and say that the upcoming movie might be an adaptation of 'Perarasu' which was released in 2006. In 'Perarasu', Vijayakanth played a dual role as a CBI officer and a murderer.

Previously, the netizens accused the director of plagiarising and legal cases were also filed against the director for the same reason.

'Mersal' was said to have traces of Rajinikanth’s 'Moondru Mugam' and Kamal Haasan’s 'Apoorva Sagodharargal'. Meanwhile, 'Bigil' was said to be a close adaptation of a short film about a women football team. 'Raja Rani' was accused to be an adaptation of Maniratnam's hit movie 'Mauna Raagam', and 'Theri' was said to have similarities with Vijayakanth starrer 'Chatrian'.

Now netizens are linking Atlee's upcoming movie with Vijayakanth's 'Perarasu'.
