VJ Chithra's 'Mullai' role from Pandian Stores serial is probably one of the most loved characters of the Tamil TV industry. As the news of her sudden death by suicide came out, many refused to believe it. Her colleagues and fans thought it was just a fake news.
But, Chithra died by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at a private hotel in Chennai. Her fiance Hemanth who was married to her legally was staying with the actress during the tragic incident.
Many speculations were making rounds following her sudden demise. Chithra's mother accused Hemanth of being the reason of her death and swore that her daughter would never take her own life.
However, the police have released the preliminary results of the postmortem which concluded that Chithra's cause of death was suicide.
Today, the police revealed another shocking news after questioning Hemanth, his parents and the hotel staff since Chithra's passing. It's believed that Hemanth and Chithra's mother are the reason behind her suicide.
Their statement revealed that Hemanth caused trouble at Chithra's shooting spots after getting drunk. Her mother constantly pressured Chithra to leave Hemanth because of his behaviour.
Unable withstand the torments from both her legally wedded husband and mother, Chithra sorted to killing herself. Fans and TV celebs are finding it difficult to accept that someone as bold and inspiring as Chithra could be led to a state of depression until she decided to end her life.
Suicide is never the solution to your problems. Stay strong and seek help if you have suicidal thoughts.
