Chandramukhi is a comedy cum horror film directed by P. Vasu which had Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyothika and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The movie was released in 2005 and became a major box office success.

Now 16 years later, the director is working on part 2 of the movie and the shooting will commence this September. In the sequel, Raghava Lawrence will be playing the lead role.

Following the update, rumours have been making rounds that actor Rajinikanth will be making a special appearance in the movie. In part 1, Rajinikanth played a psychiatrist in the movie.

However, the director has denied the rumour and clarified that none of the casts from part 1 will be appearing in the sequel. He further clarified that Chandramukhi 2's storyline will not have any link to Chandramukhi.
