Bigg Boss is now the most popular Tamil reality show that has held its audience's attention over the past 50 days. Since the premiere of the game show, veteran actor Kamal Haasan has hosted season after season.

Earlier this week, Kamal was infected with Covid-19 and as a result, the showrunners have been compelled to find a temporary host to replace him.

Earlier, online rumors circulated that Kamal's daughter Shruti Haasan had a better chance of succeeding him and that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Little Superstar Silambarasan were in discussions to host the show.

However, the newest buzz is that legendary Tamil actress Ramya Krishnan has been cast as the temporary host of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5's forthcoming weekend episodes.

Previously, the actress hosted the weekend episodes of Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 when the regular presenter, Nagarjuna, was away on vacation. But, there has been no official confirmation, and guess we'll have to wait for tomorrow's episode.

Ulaganayagan, on the other hand, is recuperating at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai.
