Upon growing up, the actor studied Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication and a master's in Electronic Media. He later obtained an M.A. in Film and Television Production from the University of Bristol.
Anand re-entered the industry as a Production sound mixer and editor.
In 2009, he performed dialogue editing and sound for Kamal Haasan's 'Unnaipol Oruvan' and made a cameo appearance in the movie as an IIT dropout turned hacker.
