Manobala has been an integral part of the Tamil film industry since 1979!
He began his career as an assistant director to Bharathiraaja, and after gaining immense experience over the years, he donned the director's hat with the 1982 release Aagaya Gangai. Over the two decades that followed, Manobala has directed over 24 films, some of the most beloved being Oorkavalan (1987), Pillai Nilla (1985), and En Purushanthaan Enakku Mattumthaan (1989).
