RRR; the Telugu blockbuster which became the second-highest-grossing movie at the Indian box office has once again made epic history by getting multiple nominations at the Golden Globe Awards. S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR marks the first time a Telugu film being nominated in any category at the Golden Globes.

The psychedelic flick has been nominated under the Language Film and Best Original Song categories, where the high-octane and energetic dance-off Naatu Naatu will be competing with “Carolina'' from Where the Crawdads Sing, “Ciao Papa” from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick and “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Indeed, a remarkable moment for the Tollywood Industry.

Director Rajamouli took to his Instagram page to share the news with his fellow fans.

Touted to be a pre-Independence fictional story woven around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem - the film features Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead. The film was released worldwide in March in five languages— Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

To be frank, RRR deserves this ming-blogging recognition for its epic fantasy film. With that being said, the Golden Globe Awards will be taking place on 10th January 2023.
