Ganja Karuppu is a Tamil comedian who stepped into the film industry with 'Pithamagan'. He starred in many comic roles throughout the 2000s and became a well-known face. Some of his notable work include Paruthi Veeran, Sivakasi, Subramaniyapuram and Nadodigal.

However, in 2014, the actor decided to turn into a producer for 'Velmurugan Borewells'. The film resulted in a big loss for Ganja Karuppu because of numerous production delays and the lack of publicity during its theatrical release.

He tried to make a comeback by acting in new films and joining the Season 1 of Bigg Boss. But the efforts failed relaunch his career as he was evicted from the show in two weeks.

According to a recent report by Cine Ulagam, Ganja Karuppu has piled up huge amount of debts. He was forced to sell his house to settle the debts. Ganja Karuppu opened up in an interview that it's unlikely that he will ever produce a film again.

The comedian is now acting in 'Irumbu Manithan' directed by Disney.
