Mani Ratnam, however, started the pre-production of the movie many years back with Vijay in the lead, but stopped the movie halfway due to financial constraints. Now Mani Ratnam has finally kick-started the mega-project once again despite the delay caused by the current pandemic.
Jayam Ravi has signed to play the lead role 'Arulmozhi Varman' who will later become the unstoppable Raja Raja Cholan I. Meanwhile, the multicast movie will also feature famous artists such as Vikram, Karthi, Vikram Prabhu, Radhika, Sarath Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Prakash Raj and many others.
