The Haasan clan are well-known personalities in South Indian cinema, not only for their contributions to the industry but also their illustrious lives.
Kamal Haasan is undoubtedly one of the finest performers Indian cinema had seen in the last few decades. But, his personal life took many hits even while he reigned as the Ulaganayagan of Tamil cinema.
After the failure of his first marriage with Vani Ganapathy, Kamal got into a relationship with Bollywood actress Sarika. They had two daughters, Shruti and Akshara (both are actresses now) before tying the knot. Kamal was still legally married to his first wife Vani. The actor and Sarika got hitched only after the birth of their second daughter.
It's believed that Shruti Haasan's name was changed to Pooja Ramachandran at school by her parents. They reportedly wanted to keep Shruti safe from bullying because of their controversial lives. Some other reports on media claim that Shruti changed her name to avoid special treatment from teachers since her parents were such big stars.
But now, the actress openly talks about her parents and their separation. In a past interview, she opened up that her parents are happier on their own, and it's not wise to be stuck in an unhappy relationship.
Shruti is also transparent about her relationships. She's currently dating a Delhi-based Doodle artiste Santanu Hazarika, and they lived together during the lockdown at Shruti's residence.
