With the second wave hitting India and rising cases of Covid-19, the nation is struggling to combat the pandemic more than ever. Despite such tough times, many celebrities have been sharing photos of their luxury vacations at the Maldives and other exotic places which came under fire on social media.
Netizens are accusing these celebrities of being inconsiderate towards the struggles of the nation and its people against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Actress Shruti Haasan reflected a similar sentiment in her recent interview and urged her colleagues to be more grateful for their privileges instead of showing off their vacationing moments.
"Glad they had a great holiday, they deserved it. I did not personally feel it was a time to go maskless in a pool. It has been a tough time for everyone and some people much more. I think gratitude and being thankful for privileges is what is most important to know versus throwing your privileges in people's faces," she said.
She's been staying at home with her cat and alleged boyfriend Santanu and has been keeping herself busy by doing chores and creative activities to fight boredom. She also asked her followers to suggest topics that they would want to discuss with her to help each other during such rough times.
