Popular singer Chinmayi Sripada has been considered as the torchbearer of the recent wave of #MeToo movement. She publicly accused renowned poet and lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual harassment by sharing a personal encounter with the latter. Her comments about Vairamuthu created a stir and the media covered the issue extensively.

However, this time around she had hit the headlines for a different reason. Telugu movie Manmadhudu 2 starring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet Singh is directed by Chinmayi's husband Rahul Ravindran. The film featured a forced kiss scene between actresses Rakul Preet and Jhansi.

While the scene was blurred in the film, the uncut version was still available in its foreign releases. An image from the forced kissing scene has gone viral online and netizens are trolling singer Chinmayi for her double standards in not getting offended by a scene like this in her husband's film.

Take a look at the tweets:

Previously, the singer famously slammed Hindi film Kabir Singh's director Sandeep Vanga for his remarks on true love. According to the director, it's not true love if the lovers don't have the liberty to slap each other.
