SP Balasubrahmaniam is a famous Indian singer who has sung in over 16 languages in his career which span over 50 years.

Decades ago, SPB introduced Ajith, SP Charan's close friend, to the cinema and now Ajith has become one of the leading actors in Kollywood.

In an interview held previously, SPB revealed that Ajith used to come to his house often and even borrow his son's clothing to take part in advertisements.

It was SPB who got Ajith the opportunity to play the lead role in the latter's first movie 'Prema Phustakam'.

However, some fans and celebrities are upset now that Ajith didn't attend SPB's funeral, or even posted any condolence message on social media.

Many fans, however, defended Ajith by saying the actor would have avoided the funeral because of Covid-19 infection, and since Ajith a person who seldom appears on social media, some claimed that the actor would have personally spoken to SP Charan instead.
