Nehsan Selvaraj is no ordinary singer. His voice is a gift for him, robbed and returned. In a tragic accident during his school days, Nehsan's face was crushed, leaving him mute for six months. He couldn't even speak or eat properly.
His journey after the accident is truly inspiring and we wrote all about it here: From Accident Horror to International Recognition: Superstar's Nehsan's Amazing Life Journey
After the incident, Nehsan understood the power of speech and how he could use what's given to him to make an impact. He went on to become a newscaster on Bernama and even joined a singing competition called Superstar on Vinmeen HD.
After travelling and making his voice heard at different corners of the world, Nehsan is back in his homeland with a new goal. He will be launching his first-ever Malay single music video “DAMAILAH ENGKAU” in February 2020.
by leading music composer Sharon Paul, the lyrics of the song was penned by renowned poet Shah Shamshiri.

"The preparations began in April last year when a friend from the Malay music industry approached me with this opportunity," Nehsan recalled.
"He's my best friend actually and that's why my first single is in Malay. A month after its release, we are planning to launch the Tamil version of the song," he said.
Nehsan underwent vocal training with former music producer at Universal Music in Paris, Enrico Fridlevski and the well-known Cikgu Shafi from Shafi Vocal Studio to prepare for this song.
Talking about the back story of the music video, Nehsan admitted that it was partially inspired by true events in the lives of people he observed around him.
"Some parts might have been from my life as well. But, it's something everyone needs to realise. Don't ever forget your loved ones in your rush to go forward in life," Nehsan reminded.
Produced by Fantast Production and directed by Dannyhan Miskam, the music video will feature Nehsan, Lofea Yusoff and some other supporting talents.
After the release of his music video, Nehsan is planning to focus on penetrating the Arabic music scene in the Middle East.
"Ever since I was a young boy, I loved singing Arabic songs and my teachers always taught me how to sing them," he explained.
Nehsan wishes to be the first Malaysian to have made a mark in the music industry in Dubai, UAE. According to him, there are plenty of Indians who reside and work in the country.
However, the budding singer doesn't speak Arabic. Perhaps, music is universal after all as claimed by many, many musicians. We wish you all the luck Nehsan!
