Phenomenal actor R. Madhavan who was fondly called the 'chocolate boy' during his initial days, has finally made his directorial debut via the highly anticipated biopic 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. The movie depicts the story of Nambi Narayanan, an accomplished scientist with ISRO who was falsely accused of espionage, faced multiple trials for over 20 years, and was cleared of all charges in the end. He was later honored with 'Padma Bhushan', India’s third-highest civilian award.

Madhavan wrote, directed, and produced Rocketry, as well as essayed the role of the rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan. Meanwhile, Simran played his wife Meena Narayanan, with Suriya and Shahrukh Khan appearing in cameo roles.

Following the movie's release, Superstar Rajinikanth took social media to appreciate Madhavan on his directorial debut. He stressed that it is a movie that everyone should watch, especially youngsters.
