Suriya and Dhanush in One Film? Mani Ratnam Reportedly Plans a Big-Screen Collaboration

Tamil cinema fans could be in for an exciting collaboration, as reports suggest that filmmaker Mani Ratnam is planning to bring together Suriya and Dhanush for an ambitious project.

If the discussions materialise, the film will mark the first time the two actors share screen space in a full-length movie, making it a highly anticipated combination.

According to a report by Maalaimalar, Mani Ratnam has approached both actors with a dual-hero script, with equally important roles written for them.

The report further suggests that Suriya and Dhanush have shown interest in the story and given their approval in principle. However, discussions involving their remuneration, shooting schedules and availability are reportedly still underway.

While an official announcement is yet to be made, the project could be confirmed in the coming days if the remaining discussions reach a positive conclusion.

Depending on their respective film schedules, the collaboration could potentially mark Suriya's 49th film and Dhanush's 57th outing.

Adding to the excitement, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is reportedly the first choice to play the female lead.

Although details about the storyline and the rest of the cast remain under wraps, the possibility of seeing three prominent names in Indian cinema come together under Mani Ratnam's direction has certainly caught fans' attention.

For now, audiences will have to wait for an official confirmation to find out whether this much-talked-about combination will finally make it to the big screen.
