It's been a while since Bigg Boss Saravanan was eliminated from the show abruptly following his remarks about harassing women in the bus during his younger days.

The actor didn't even get an opportunity to bid farewell to his fellow housemates. Right after the eviction, Saravanan went back to his hometown Salem and hasn't given any video interviews till today.

However, on August 13, he came out with his son to receive the Kalaimamani award from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy.

Kalamamani Award is a highly-revered recognition in Tamil Nadu for those who have contributed in the fields of literature, music, and theatre. After a gap of 8 years, over 200 recipients were awarded with the Kalaimamani Awards this year.

Speaking to the media, Saravanan revealed that he will talk about Bigg Boss on a later date, not during the function. While the recipients of the award were announced at an earlier date, it's surprising that the Tamil Nadu government went on to present Kalaimamamni to Saravanan who had caused a state-wide uproar for admitting to molesting women in the bus.

Do you think Saravanan deserves to receive the award? Let us know in the comments.
