Thalapathy Vijay is a famous movie star in India, who has a huge fan base around the globe.

The actor last starred in Bigil, which was released during Deepavali, and currently working on 'Master' under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Over a month ago, Vijay's residences were suddenly raided by the income tax officers regarding payment received for 'Bigil', and the actor was probed for 35 hours.

Now, the tax officials are raiding Vijay's property once again and the actor is expected to return to India from overseas in another few days.

Following the raid, Tamil Nadu newspaper Daily Thanthi reported that Vijay has been paying up his taxes as required by the law. According to the article, Vijay was paid Rs. 50 crore (RM 29 million) for 'Bigil' and Rs. 80 crore (RM 46 million) for 'Master'. He has paid the taxes accordingly.

His fans, however, are speculating that this raid is nothing but a political vendetta as the star is expected to make a strong statement against the ruling party at Master's audio launch on 15th March.
