Vijay, also fondly known as Thalapathy to his loyal fans, is an enormous star in the South Indian film industry. Recently, the actor hit the headlines when a court imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh in a tax exemption case filed in 2012.

Vijay is believed to have a craze for imported cars and bought a Rolls Royce Ghost luxury car in 2012 from London. The import tax costs 20% of the purchase price of the vehicle. He filed for an entry tax exemption at the court.
