Thalapathy Vijay's film Master is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The first look posters, especially the one featuring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, went viral on social media.

Initially, 'Master' was supposed to hit the big screen on April 9, but the film industry came to a halt after the outbreak of COVID-19. Theatres are closed, film shootings got postponed, and new film releases delayed until further notice.

A recent buzz claimed that 'Master' trailer will release on Thalapathy Vijay's birthday on June 22. Much to Vijay's fans' disappointment, the trailer never came online.

Today, Indiaglitz reported a new update on the film and its release. Given the current situation, there are two possible release dates for 'Master'.

If the pandemic gets under control in India by September, the film is expected to release for Deepavali this year (14 November 2020). The trailer will drop on 25 October 2020, coinciding with the 'Ayudha Pooja'.

However, if the lockdown situation continues, 'Master' will be a Pongal release next year (9 or 10 January 2021). The trailer will be unveiled for Christmas which falls on 25 December 2020.

While there hasn't been any official confirmation on this, fans are hoping they can witness their favourite hero on-screen again soon!
