Following the success of 'Vikram,' Kamal Haasan has teamed up with Malayalam filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan for an untitled project. Kamal is rumored to be writing the screenplay for the film.

The film is reportedly a sequel to Kamal Haasan's cult classic 'Thevar Magan.' According to reports, Kamal Haasan, Vikram, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi will play the lead roles. Vikram is said to portray Kamal Haasan's son, while Vijay Sethupathi plays Nasser's son.

A recent report suggested that Vijay Sethupathi might not be a part of the cast since he already portrayed the antagonist opposite Kamal Haasan in 'Vikram.' However, no official announcement has been issued.

Kamal portrays Sakthivel Thevar in the 1992 film Thevar Magan, who returns home after completing his education in London. He intends to open a restaurant franchise in Chennai, much to his father Periya Thevar's (Sivaji Ganesan) displeasure. However, after Periya Thevar dies from a heart attack, Sakthi assumes his father's responsibilities as village chief.
