Kamal Haasan, one of the most versatile actors in Tamil cinema, had made a massive comeback recently with his blockbuster hit movie 'Vikram'. The multi-talented star who've hosted Bigg Boss Tamil, is also a robust politician who actively involves in campaigns and social events.

Now, report suggests that Kamal Haasan has received an official notice from Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) to acquire part of his residence for the ongoing Metro Rail construction on the Bharathi Dasan Road. CMRL is co-owned by Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu to built and operate the Chennai Metro rapid transit.

Now, the government owned firm has sent the notice to the actor for the acquisition of 170 square feet from his residence in Alwarpet, Chennai. Part of Kamal's residence sits in the land required to carry out the Phase 2 of Metro Rail construction that will further improve the connectivity in various parts of Chennai.

The Alwarpet Residence is the childhood home of the actor, which also houses the offices of Raaj Kamal Films International - Kamal's production house and Makkal Needhi Maiam - the actor's political party. The development of Alwarpet Metro Rail Station near Kamal's home is ongoing at the moment.
