Silambarasan, also known as STR or Simbu, had been embroiled in many controversies in the past. He took a sabbatical the last few years before making a massive comeback earlier last year.

The actor lost weight, revamped his image, and started working in films once again. Recently, he joined forces with Gautham Menon for an upcoming film called Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu.

However, while Simbu was busy filming, Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) led by actor Vishal, reportedly issued Simbu a red card, stopping him from shooting for any films.

The reason for the red card is said to be related to the issues involving Simbus 2017 film Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan produced by Michael Rayappan and directed by Aadhik Ravichandran.

Simbu's mothermother Usha released angry statements against Vishal and TFPC in response to the red card.

But after some discussions, it's believed that TFPC has dismissed the red card and assured the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) will support Simbu's upcoming film with director Gautham Menon.
