Vada Chennai (Part 1) is a blockbuster Kollywood movie directed by Vetri Maaran in 2018. The movie which was originally planned as a trilogy, was later reduced to a duology and has been stopped temporarily due to financial constraints.

The first instalment of the movie focused on the 'life of Rajan', played by Aameer. And the second part was supposed to focus on 'the rise of Anbu', an intense role to be played by Dhanush.

Now director Vetri Maaran is planning to make Vada Chennai's prequel web series for OTT release, and this will focus on the life story of Rajan. It is now revealed that actor Karunas's son Ken has been roped in to play the younger version of Rajan.

Vetri Maaran and Ken Karunas have worked together in 'Asuran' previously, and it is reported that Ken is undertaking special training sessions to fit in the character of Rajan Vagaiyara.
