Singer Chinmayi who constantly voices out against sexual harassment matters via her social media previously made sexual assault allegations against the poet.
Mr. Vairamuthu is a molester. He threatens people with his political connections. This is fact.— Chinmayi Sripaada (@Chinmayi) May 29, 2021
Many, many women.
No matter how many come forth & shame me - truth doesn't change. I am not scared.
Believe whatever you want henceforth.
I will *not* be clarifying this anymore.
Many questions why the singer invited Vairamuthu to her wedding despite the alleged harassment, and this time, the singer blames it on Vairamuthu's son Madhan Karky:
I *TOLD* Karky his father was my molester. He called me and said his family already knew. He said "he and his wife stand with me 100%" I have the witnesses for this phone call.— Chinmayi Sripaada (@Chinmayi) May 29, 2021
He can call me a liar all he wants. I am ashamed that I trusted him. He is no different.
Netizens, however, points out contrasting statements she made years back on the same issue and accuse her of manipulating the story:

Now, Madhan Karky clarifies his side of the story and show his support to his dad Vairamuthu. He further says that Chinmayi should take things legally to prove her allegation, instead of just making accusations on social media:
If a group of people hate your family and throw baseless accusations on your dad or mom, and your parent denies those accusations, who will you trust?— Madhan Karky (@madhankarky) May 29, 2021
I trust my dad.
If the concerned people believe they have truth on their side, let them take it to the legal authorities.
This is just another lie. She wanted to invite my dad for her wedding. But my dad did not give appointment as he was upset with her. She requested me to get an appointment. I got it for her. She went to his house alone, touched his feet, got blessings and invited him. https://t.co/e4eB08d24A— Madhan Karky (@madhankarky) May 28, 2021
