Following the huge success of Simbu's 'Maanadu,' Dhanush fans have been questioning why the villain SJ Suryah was named Dhanushkodi. Dhanush and Simbu have been considered rivals since the start of their careers. The fans don't believe that the name selection was unintentional.

Venkat Prabhu, the film's director, explained the reason for picking the name. He claimed that names like Rajini-Kamal, Ajith-Vijay, and Simbu-Dhanush, are famous and have a natural appeal.

As a result, the team chose the name Dhanush to highlight SJ Suryah's strong persona.

According to Venkat, Dhanush would only be thrilled after hearing the name. Simbu was earlier accused by Dhanush's fans of implying in the film 'Eeswaran' that he is better than Dhanush via a famous dialogue.
