A veteran actress Rangamma Patti is, who has appeared in many comedy scenes with well-known comedians like Vadivelu and Vivek, has passed away after a long illness.

The actress started her cinema journey during MGR's era, has played dupe for many actresses during her young age. She has worked in over 1,000 movies to date in her 6-decade long career.

Previously, a picture of the veteran actress resting by the roadside at a bus stop went viral on social media. The actress was leaving for her hometown and it was alleged that she was abandoned by her daughters who swindled her earnings before leaving her behind.

Later, it was revealed that Rangamma Patti has settled down in her village accompanied by her son and sister. She's struggling to pay for her medical treatment.
