Yuvan Shankar Raja or also known as YSR is a popular music composer who carved his own place in the Tamil film industry despite being the son of the legendary maestro Ilayaraja.

He has a loyal fanbase among the youths who find his tunes and songs highly relatable and addictive, giving him the nickname 'Youth Icon'. The music composer's career kickstarted in 1997 where he composed for a film named Aravindhan.

In over two decades, he worked on over 100 films and has given many super hit songs for which he has received multiple awards. The musician turned 42 years old today and celebrated his birthday party in the presence of many celebrity friends.

Among the star-studded guest list included Dhanush, Simbu, DJ Arivu, singer Dhee, Ashok Selvan and many others.

Dhanush and Simbu, who were known as rivals previously, both had their share of hit songs composed by Yuvan. They surprised the composer by performing his songs for their films.
