M. Thyagarajan, a veteran director who helmed the 1991 action thriller 'Maanagara Kaaval' starring Captain Vijaykanth, was reportedly found dead on the street in front of the AVM studio.
Passersby immediately contacted the police when they spotted and identified the director. The tragic demise of the director has shocked the cine industry.
M. Thyagarajan's debut film was Vetri Mel Vetri (1989) starring Prabhu Ganesan and Seetha. His other film Maanagara Kaaval was AVM's 150th film. It's unclear whether the filmmaker went on to make any other films.
