Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Vikram has been ruling the box-office and fans' hearts alike, worldwide, since it was released last Friday.

Now a new bit of information is bound to get everyone who enjoyed the film on the big screen, excited to catch it again on the OTT platform, when it is released soon.

It has been reported that the OTT version will feature scenes of younger Kamal Haasan - made possible by de-aging technology.

Vikram director Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed the fact in an interview recently - saying that the team had tried to get Hollywood technicians to work on the de-aging sequence, but later decided to do the portions in India itself was the former option was too pricey.

The said sequence reportedly needed six to eight months to finish, so Lokesh could not include the scene in the theatrical release. However, Lokesh said that the de-aged scenes would most probably included when the movie gets its OTT release.

For the record, Vikram is expected to be released on OTT partner platform, Disney+ Hotstar, somewhere in August.

According to reports, Vikram has earned more than Rs200 crores worldwide, just a week after its release.

It features Kamal as former Black Ops operative Arun Kumar Vikram, taking down a drug syndicate responsible for his son's death.

The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Surya in a cameo role.
