Good for you, Vikram! Recently, he revealed that he had a chance to work in a Hollywood film with a major Hollywood star, who was none other than megastar, Keanu Reeves, but he said "Thanks but no thanks" to it.

Why, you may ask? Because he felt that the role was too small, almost insignificant for someone with his stature in Kollywood.

He didn't want a repeat of how Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's fans felt with his tiny role in the "The Great Gatsby" along with high stature stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire - they were very disappointed. He felt it wouldn't be fair to his fans either.

"Hollywood keeps offering small roles to big stars in India and Asia to capitalise on the huge market here, but the actors should be careful not to succumb to their tactics," he explained.

Vikram is certainly a man who knows his worth! Currently he is on a promotional tour for his upcoming action drama, "Kadaram Kondan", which is produced by Kamal Haasan and will be released on 19 July.

His other upcoming projects include Ajay Gnanamuthu's untitled thriller and Mani Rathnam's adaptation of the epic fantasy, "Ponniyin Selvan", which he personally confirmed in an interview with an online news media, saying, "I am part of Mani sir's next, and will be shooting for the project from early next year."

Vikram is rumoured to be playing the role of Aditya Karkalan, son of Sundara Cholan and brother of Arulmozhi Varman. It is reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mohan Babu will play the roles of Nandini and Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar respectively.

Actors Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul, Keerthy Suresh and Amitabh Bachchan are expected to be of the cast too. The screenplay will be by Elango Kumaravel, who rose to fame for his work in Rajiv Menon's "Sarvam Thaala Mayam".

An official confirmation regarding "Ponniyin Selvan" is expected to be made once Mani Ratnam finalises the cast and crew.
