The much-awaited mystery thriller 'FIR' starring Vishnu Vishal and directed by debutant Manu Anand is slated for a worldwide release today. But, much to the dismay of Vishnu's fans, the actor announced that the film is banned in three countries: Malaysia, Kuwait, and Qatar.

In his tweet, Vishnu apologised to his fans in these countries. However, he didn't reveal the reason for the ban. Take a look:

'FIR' follows a fugitive Abu Bakker Abdulla believed to be posing a threat to the nation tracked by a cop (played by Gautham Menon). The film also stars Manjima Mohan, Raiza Wilson, and Reba Monica John in meaty roles.
