It's been a year since the untimely death of TV star VJ Chitra, often known as Chithu. As a serial actress and TV host, Chithu had a huge fanbase, particularly for her role as Mullai in Vijay TV's 'Pandian Stores.'

The psychology grad was found dead by hanging at a private hotel in Chennai, and her husband Hemanth was charged for allegedly abetting her suicide.

Chithu's family, friends, co-stars, and fans are still grieving over her passing. The 29-year-old's infectious grin and charming demeanor are difficult to forget.

On the first anniversary of Chithu's death, her close friend and actress Sharanya shed some light on how the 'Mullai' fame behaved the day before she died. Take a look

In her own words, Sharanya wrote, "You asked me to stay back with you for few more hours. You held my hands and cried your heart out. You fed me your last lunch. And the next day you left me with an empty space in my heart," in the caption of a post she shared on Instagram.
