Following the abusive online attack, #WeStandForKavin hashtag became a trend on Twitter. The hashtag reportedly overtook the Prabhas' Saaho and was used in more than 100,000 tweets.
However, some of the netizens noticed something fishy. A lot of fake accounts have been created to tweet with the hashtag and some even claim that bots are the real reason why Bigg Boss Kavin became a trend.

I didn’t say #Kavin is paying for it. Because I don’t know that. Out of all the housemates his tag is the only one trending at national level which is done mostly by bots. Now someone must be paying for it, right? #BiggBossTamil3 #BiggBossTamil— trappist0NE (@trappist0NE) September 1, 2019
So, it's uncertain if the bots and fake accounts were the reason behind Kavin's trending hashtag. But, it's rumoured that Kavin's fans and friends might have a hand in this matter.
