Thalapathy Vijay is a famous Kollywood celebrity who has his following of loyal fans around the world. Many of his movies became super hits and made it to the 100 crore club. Currently, his fan is awaiting his upcoming film 'Master' with Vijay Sethupathi.

A few years back, Vijay acted in 'Jilla' with Mohan Lal. The family action drama was an average grosser at the box office. However, the film's producer R. B. Choudary allegedly mentioned that 'Jilla' gave him losses. Hearing about this, it was said that actor Vijay stopped talking to the producer altogether.

It was reported that many of the film's suppliers also had to bear losses because of its poor performance at the box office.

Previously, many of his films have flunked at the box office. Most notably, his 50th film 'Sura'. But, the director SP Rajkumar didn't blame the film for its poor reception.

In an interview, he mentioned that the real reason for the failure was people's mentality.

"The movie was praised by many in Malaysia and other countries, but it only fared a negative review in India. Even Vijay was happy with the outcome when he watched the movie," revealed the director.
