Yuvan Shankar Raja, the son of music maestro Ilayaraja, is a well-known music director who began his career at the age of sixteen and has worked in the industry ever since.

Recently, the youth icon completed his 25th year in the film business and had a celebratory event to commemorate the achievement. The music director got emotional talking about his late mother, Jeeva Rajayya, who was an integral part of his life.

In case you're unfamiliar with Yuvan's story, his mother was the one who advised him to pursue a professional musical career, and her untimely death in 2011 left the composer heartbroken.

In the event, Yuvan admitted that he still misses his mother, but she lives in his memory.

"Even today, I thought, we are all going to be memories one day. My mother is not here, but she's in my memory. In the end, everyone will be in someone's memory," he said.

Yuvan also added that his wife and daughter have managed filled the void his mother had left in his life. Check out the video here:
