The ongoing divorce proceedings between actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife Aarti Ravi continue to make headlines, with fresh legal developments drawing public attention.

According to a report by Asianet News, Aarti Ravi’s father has filed a formal complaint against singer Suchitra, accusing her of making defamatory remarks about Aarti in a video shared online. The complaint alleges that Suchitra’s statements not only invaded the family's privacy but also sparked unsubstantiated rumours, causing reputational damage to the family, which has long-standing ties to the Tamil film industry. He further claimed that the dignity of his wife and daughter had been unfairly targeted and expressed concern over private matters being made public without consent.

Legal action has reportedly been sought under multiple provisions, including Sections 79, 294, and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as well as Sections 66(a) and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which deal with offensive and misleading online content.

In a separate legal development, Ravi Mohan has filed a lawsuit against Aarti Ravi and her mother, Sujatha Vijayakumar, citing reputational harm caused by their public remarks. The actor alleges that certain statements made by Aarti and her mother have tarnished his personal and professional image, particularly as a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry. The legal notice, issued following a directive from the High Court, demands the immediate removal of all allegedly defamatory content from social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and other digital forums. The notice was shared by Ravi Mohan’s legal counsel, Karthikei Balan.
