The much-awaited dance competition of the year officially kicked off last week with an electrifying opening, marking the return of the dynamic host duo, Denes Kumar and Magen Vikadakavi. Adding to the excitement, former host Aruna joined the judges' panel alongside renowned Singaporean dancer Ramesh Silvaraju and the iconic MJ Nada, promising a season filled with high-caliber performances and expert critiques.

With 22 teams competing, the stage was set for intense battles. Twelve teams showed their talent on Saturday, followed by ten teams on Sunday. Let’s get into the weekend’s highlights.


Saturday Recap


1. MRB Brothers vs. KLMD


MRB Brothers kicked off the show with an army-themed performance, while KLMD brought energy to the stage with their dance to Hukum. Despite both teams giving their all, MRB Brothers were eliminated due to inconsistent expressions and declining energy, while KLMD advanced with positive feedback from the judges.

2. Sharpasara vs. Maharanis

Both teams delivered powerful performances to Selfie Pulla, but Maharanis outshone Sharpasara with their resilience and flawless execution despite a minor fall during the routine. Sharpasara bowed out gracefully.

3. Sri Agni Dance Group vs. Githa Dance Academy

Dancing to Aaluma Doluma, both teams brought high energy, but Githa Dance Academy was eliminated due to a distracting use of props that affected the judges’ focus. Sri Agni Dance Group advanced to the next round.

4. NDA vs. Shivalayaz Arts

Performing to Thaai Kelavi, Shivalayaz Arts captivated the judges with their vibrant choreography, while NDA was eliminated for mismatched costumes and lack of polish in their routine.

5. Millennium Arts vs. DA Dancers

The teams battled it out to Vaathi Coming, and Millennium Arts emerged victorious with a performance that judge Ramesh Silvaraju described as one of the best of the night. DA Dancers also impressed but fell short in securing their spot.

6. Kadaram Sirpanggal vs. V-Haara

The final showdown of Saturday saw mind-blowing performances from both teams, but V-Haara ultimately advanced to the next round.

Sunday Recap

1. UMD vs. Hyperflex DC

The teams performed Marana Mass, delivering energetic routines. Hyperflex DC advanced with their well-executed stunts, while UMD faced elimination due to minor flaws in their performance.

2. Rubinie Arts vs. Daaksha Arts

Both teams impressed with Surviva, but Daaksha Arts secured a spot in the next round. Rubinie Arts’ attempt to blend classical and modern dance fell short due to synchronization issues.

3. Tirav vs. De’Freshers


Performing to Manasillayo, Tirav advanced with a polished routine, while De’Freshers exited due to timing and positioning errors.

4. Ace of Beez vs. KJ Dancers

Ace of Beez delivered a coordinated and energetic performance, defeating KJ Dancers to move forward in the competition.

5. Riyana Arts vs. Trishool Dancers

Both teams performed Kaavaalaa, but Riyana Arts edged out Trishool Dancers with a performance that showcased precision despite minor flaws.
