Astro customers can look forward to exciting local and international Tamil premieres this June including the thriller series, 1993, live-action series Aladdin, mythological series, Shirdi Sai, mystery thriller film, Ranam Aram Thavarel and action-thriller film, Idi Minnal Kadhal on TV, Astro GO, On Demand and sooka.

Customers can catch the local Tamil thriller series, 1993 by local director, Sathiarupan Rajah featuring talented local artistes such as Satishvaran, Chandni Nagadurga, Hamsni Perumal, Sangbalan and more. Produced by local talents, Suresh Rogen and Yassmine Harsan, the series revolves around Arjunan, a homicide detective sent thirty years into the future, from 1993 to 2023, where he confronts a serial killer. To return to 1993 and be with his wife, he must solve a murder mystery that occurred in 2023. 1993 premieres on 17 June, 9pm on Astro Vinmeen (Ch 202) via TV, Astro GO, On Demand and sooka with new episodes available every Monday to Thursday.

On the international front, customers can enjoy live action series Aladdin which tells an intriguing story about Aladdin, an orphan who enters a magical world after discovering a magical lamp. Aladdin falls in love with Princess Yasmine and together they prevent Zafar from seizing control of Baghdad.

This live action series stars Siddarth Nigam, Avneet Kaur, Aamir Dalvi and Raashul Tandon. Aladdin premieres on 17 June, 5.30pm on Astro Vaanavil (Ch 201) via TV, Astro GO, On Demand and sooka.

Directed by Sachin Ambre and Harsh B Agrawal, the mythological series, Shirdi Sai stars Abeer Soofi, Tushar Dalvi and Abishek Nigam. The story revolves around Sai Baba who helps the people of Shirdi to find peace and love despite facing numerous trials and tribulations in his mission of helping them. Shirdi Sai premieres on 17 June, 7pm on Astro Vaanavil (Ch 201) via TV, Astro GO, On Demand and sooka.

Customers can also look forward to the mystery thriller film, Ranam Aram Thavarel directed by Sherief starring Vaibhav, Nandita Swetha and Tanya Hope. The story depicts a facial reconstruction artist who is called to assist the police in arresting the criminal who is involved in a string of murders that occur in a city. Ranam Aram Thavarel premieres on 21 June, 9pm on Astro Thangathirai (Ch 241).

The action-thriller film, Idi Minnal Kadhal featuring Chiby Bhuvana Chandran and Bhavya Trikha revolves around people who unintentionally make up for the wrongs they did to one another after an accident. They realize that doing good deeds is more common than seeking revenge. Idi Minnal Kadhal directed by Balaji Madhavan premieres on 28 June, 9pm on Astro Thangathirai (Ch 241).
