In a recent interview with Pinkvilla following the success of his latest film, Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan opened up about sharing the screen with Thalapathy Vijay and the discussions surrounding the idea of carrying forward Vijay’s illustrious legacy.

Speaking about his cameo in The Greatest Of All Time, Sivakarthikeyan emphasized the significance of Vijay’s unparalleled journey in the industry. He remarked, “His legacy is his own, and no one can touch it or take it away. I see that scene as a beautiful gesture, a senior star sharing the screen with a next-generation actor. To me, it felt like he was showing his love and support.”

Acknowledging Vijay’s three-decade-long career, Sivakarthikeyan highlighted the unique challenges the star has overcome to achieve his stature. “His 30+ years in the industry are marked by his own struggles and battles. I can’t just step in and say I will continue his legacy, it’s something only he can define.”

The actor also fondly recalled a tweet he posted during the release of Vijay’s blockbuster film Thuppakki, which gained significant attention at the time. “I once tweeted that the real ‘mass’ wasn’t those holding guns, but those holding tickets to Thuppakki. Years later, sharing the screen with him is a special experience for me. I don’t see it as passing the baton; instead, I take it as an opportunity to learn from him.”

Sivakarthikeyan’s reflections highlight his deep respect for Vijay and his recognition of the veteran actor’s enduring legacy, which continues to inspire generations of fans and actors alike.
