Young ice-skating prodigy C Sree Abiraame has been bestowed the Yuva Shri Kala Bushan Award 2020 by the Patanjali College of Yoga & Research Center India.

The eight-year-old received the second highest international achievers award 2020, recognized by Yoga Alliance International.

Photos of the young skater proudly posing with the award, presented to her last Sunday, is going viral on social media.

Sree Abiraame is no stranger to winning international-level awards at such a tender age.

Last year, she bagged five gold medals and one silver medal in the 14th ISI (Ice Skating Institute's) Asia Skate Beijing 2019 in China. Skate Beijing is the biggest skating competition in China, where hundreds of skaters from South East Asian countries battle against each other.

Prior to the China win, she won five gold medals in the ISI International Figure Skating Tournament in Abu Dhabi.

In 2018, she secured four gold medals at the ISI Asia Skate in Shenzen, and another four golds at ISI Skate Asia in Bangkok.

The young prodigy aims to skate her way into victory at the Winter Olympics in 2026.
